Necto Selection are searching for Site Engineers for an industry-leading Irish main contractor based in Co. Limerick on a large pharmaceutical project. Our client is a highly regarded Irish building contractor that’s renowned for their large-scale construction projects, whilst their UK branch has a particular focus on small to medium-scale civil engineering and industrial projects.

Description

The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting the construction management team in the on-site control of the building elements of projects.

Their main duties will include;

·      Setting out, levelling, and quality control, including concrete quality through cube sampling, slump testing, etc

·      Record keeping and reporting

·      Reading and interpreting drawings for layouts, materials measure etc.

·      Liaise with client’s representatives and Design Team members as appropriate

·      Planning works in an efficient manner to ensure programme targets are achieved

·      Supervision of other directly employed and subcontractor personnel engaged in various elements of the construction project

·      Strictly adhering to the Company’s health and safety, environmental, quality, and other on-site policies and procedures

Requirements

·      Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or another related discipline

·      A minimum of two years’ work experience on construction sites

·      A sound working knowledge of surveying instruments and equipment

·      Excellent IT, problem-solving and communication skills

·      Must be enthusiastic and willing to learn and develop
