Are you looking for a new Civils Site Engineer role?

NECTO Selection are looking for a talented Civils Site Engineer to join our clients’ team in Co. Dublin. The successful candidate will join our clients’ civils team and undertake it’s Dublin Airport and Airside and Landside Civil Engineering framework worth €325 million, which will run from 2022 – 2026. Our client is one of the largest Construction, Civil Engineering, and Development companies in Ireland, delivering projects across Ireland, the UK and Europe.

This is a very exciting opportunity for an engineering professional to begin their career in a site-based role. The successful candidate will be provided with invaluable opportunities to work within a great team of professionals on some of Irelands largest and most exciting construction and civil engineering projects.

Roles and responsibilities

·      Setting-out the site and dimensional controls in accordance with the relevant contract Drawings, Specification and Site Surveys

·      Ensuring that all relevant tolerances have been catered for without compromising quality or loss of floor space

·      Checking materials and works in progress for compliance with the specified requirements

·      Reviewing construction outputs and planning the most efficient sequence of operations with an emphasis on control of the works, quality, and technical advice

·      Keeping a record of all daily activities, relevant information, and occurrences in your site diary

·      Raising RFI’s and resolving technical issues with employer’s representatives, suppliers, subcontractors, and statutory authorities

·      Quality control and record must be kept in accordance with procedural method statements, quality plans and inspection and test plans which have been prepared by the project management team by subcontractors

·      Developing and maintaining professional and working relationships with all personnel

·      Monitor and check setting out instruments and testing equipment

·      Adhering to all safety company requirements as outlined in the company safety statement

·      Follow instructions and attend meetings as required

Requirements

·      Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or another related discipling with 1-2 years post qualification experience

·      Current full driving licence

·      Must be able to deliver reports both verbally and written in a professional manner

·      Must display good interpersonal and communication skills and act in an independent and professional manner with the ability to influence others including senior management

·      Working knowledge of Control of Temporary Works

·      A Broad Range of technical exposure, within the following trades - Piling, Geotechnical, Substructures (including Waterproofing), Superstructures and Facades

·      Proficient in the use of total stations, EDM’s, Lasers or Dumpy level

·      Working Knowledge of BIM advantageous, with the ability to input 3D scanning, or point cloud survey information
