NECTO Selection are searching for a Senior Site Engineer for an award-winning, industry-leading client based in Co. Galway to work on a large life sciences project. Our client is one of Ireland’s biggest contractors with a proven track record in multiple sectors across Ireland and Europe including residential, commercial, healthcare, education, industrial, retail, conservation, and tourism/leisure.

Description

The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting the construction management team in the on-site control of the building elements of projects.

Their main duties will include:

·      Supporting the Project Manager and the wider team to provide technical advice on the project

·      Communicating regularly with the project team, design team and subcontractors

·      Ensuring Health & Safety procedures on-site are correctly followed

·      Monitoring and recording materials, plant hire, and logistics

·      Performing technical verifications of civil engineering designs, models and drawings

·      Implementing QA procedures, concrete pre/post pour checks, RFI’s and resolves technical issues

·      Delivering the work to the specified quality without defects

Requirements

·      A third-level degree in Civil Engineering or another related discipline with a minimum of 6 years’ work experience gained with a main contractor

·      A sound working knowledge of surveying instruments and equipment,

·      Excellent IT, problem-solving and communication skills

·      The ability to work well as part of a team

·      Must be enthusiastic and willing to learn and develop
