NECTO Selection are representing a growing contractor that are currently recruiting for an Experienced, Senior Quantity Surveyor to work on a largescale project in the UK. There is travel required for this role that is up to the successful individual to manage.

With multiple recent project wins in the Residential, hotel and commercial sectors, the company has a strong pipeline of work and so is looking to add to its close-knit commercial team.

Reporting to a senior Director, you will work on projects through to final account.

Duties:

• Act as an advisory on contractual and legal matters relevant to the project
• Claims management
• Preparation and management of subcontractors, suppliers and material procurement schedules
• Management of junior members of staff
• Budget control / materials management / valuations
• Preparation of cost reports and projections
• Ability to negotiate with subcontractors, suppliers with a view to agree final accounts
• Preparing monthly cost analysis reports for monthly management meetings
• Other duties and responsibilities as per project

The Person

• Degree educated in Quantity Surveying
• 7 + years’ experience
• Previous experience working for a specialist sub-contractor or fit-out company
• Strong communicator with good commercial acumen
