Role description:

We are looking for an experienced Senior Design Manager preferably with experience of working in Europe as well as the UK to join us in working on the design delivery of Large Data Centre Projects.

You will be part of a growing Design Management team working on behalf of a leading Tech Giant client. You will provide Design Management expertise across the EMEA region assisting in the delivery of design milestones liaising across a wide range of both internal and external stakeholders. You will be client focused and confident as you act as the day-to-day client interface, ensuring that key objectives are met and that projects are delivered to time and cost targets and to the appropriate quality standards that have been set in place.

A key function of the role is to facilitate meetings, workshops and design/risk reviews throughout the project lifecycle, coordinating design activities with procurement, planners, environmental and construction / operations teams including design team onboarding.

The Client uses standardised and modularised design solutions to deliver efficient projects and the role will also require support of future development of those designs on behalf of the Client.

Role accountabilities:

  • Client side role, embracing remote working
  • Represent the Client at design development and project progress meetings with a variety of key stakeholders
  • Design Management Experience with a solid grip on PM Concepts, Tools & Techniques.
  • Be pro-active in both challenging and finding solutions with both internal and external stakeholders
  • Work collaboratively across all disciplines to ensure compliant designs are delivered
  • Potential for future periodic travel required within EMEA (i.e. 3 day period every 2 months)

Qualifications & Experience:

  • BA/BSc/BEng or MA/MSc/MEng or equivalent in a relevant discipline
  • Chartered or equivalent professional accreditation
  • Ideally previous Design/Design Management experience within a Client/Consultancy environment
  • Knowledge and experience of BIM led design and Autodesk suite of products.
  • Strong Focus on Integration, Stakeholder & Communication Management Skills
  • Awareness of using both Microsoft and gSuite software applications
