Job Title: Commercial Manager - Construction Main Contractor

With a proven track record of successful projects and a commitment to delivering excellence, they have recently won a new €multi-million contract in Central Germany. As part of our expansion plans, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Commercial Manager / Commercial Lead to join the team.
Job Description:
As the Commercial Manager, you will play a pivotal role in managing the financial and commercial aspects of this project. You will work closely with our project teams, senior management, and external stakeholders to ensure the successful delivery of the project within budget and according to the agreed contractual terms. Your primary responsibilities will include:
Contract Management:
- Oversee the administration and management of all contracts related to the project.
- Review and negotiate contractual terms and conditions with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers.
- Ensure compliance with contractual obligations and minimize potential risks.
- Collaborate with legal advisors to address any legal issues or disputes that may arise.
Financial Management:
- Develop and monitor project budgets, forecasts, and cash flow projections.
- Implement cost control measures and identify opportunities for cost savings.
- Conduct financial analysis and provide accurate and timely reports to senior management.
- Manage the procurement process and negotiate favourable terms with subcontractors and suppliers.
Stakeholder Management:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, suppliers, and other relevant stakeholders.
- Resolve commercial and contractual issues in a timely and efficient manner.
- Attend project meetings and provide commercial guidance and support to project teams.
- Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders to ensure a clear understanding of commercial objectives.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Business Administration, or a related field
- Proven experience as a Commercial Manager or similar role within the construction industry, preferably with data centre / semi-conductor industry
- In-depth knowledge of construction contracts, procurement, and financial management.
- Strong negotiation and contract management skills.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
- Fluent in German or strong verbal / written skills is highly desirable
