NECTO Selection are currently recruiting for an intermediate Quantity Surveyor for a medium sized construction project in the Belfast area. As the Quantity surveyor on this project you will join an established department and take the lead on a £5m+ project. This project will be mainly site based but with the option to work from home when needed. This is a contractor well-known for being awarded NI based projects between £10 - £35m.

Typical responsibilities of this role include;

• To take responsibility for the full cost management of this D&B construction project
• Report directly to the Commercial Director
• Build relationships with colleagues to ensure project delivery.
• Client liaison meetings and attending regular progress meetings
• To gain the confidence of the client and become the focal point for communication
• Demonstrates good knowledge of clients, competitors, client care policy
• Ensures personnel and staff comply with all procedures
• Assisting disputes in order to protect and further Company interest and relationships
• Assisting, advising and input into development and improvement of procurement
• Reporting on monthly valuations, client variations, etc
• Any other responsibilities as necessary for the completion of the role

To be considered for this role you should possess;

• 3-5 years' experience within a main contractor
• Construction related Degree
• Full Driving license
