Necto Selection are working with a leading NI, specialist fit-out contractor that due to an increase in commercial projects across the UK are seeking a new junior QS to assist a busy commercial team

As a junior member of the commercial team you will gain invaluable experience from a large commercial department with excellent career progression opportunities. You will also gain experience from projects mainly in NI and London (on average £25m). There will be an element of travel on the role (2-3 times per month)

This is an ideal opportunity for Quantity Surveyors in the Co. Antrim / Tyrone areas that have graduated in 2020 or 2021 with 1-2 years experience.

Responsibilities for the position include;

• Attend pre and post tender meetings
• Measurement and variations of projects
• Assisting in the preparation of final accounts.
• BOQ and measurement duties as required

What's required?

• Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline.
• Relevant Contractor experience.
• You will have at least 1 years’ experience as a Quantity Surveyor (Placement acceptable)
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal & written.
• Strong working knowledge of contract documents, construction practices & techniques.
• Ability to interpret & make calculations based on drawings.
• Flexible & professional approach to work, self-motivated, confident & organised.
• Sound IT skills including Microsoft Office & Excel.
