NECTO Selection is currently seeking talented Junior Civil Engineers for multiple projects in Co. Galway. Our client is one of the most highly regarded construction firms in Connaught with a proven track record of delivering projects to impeccable standards.

Projects include:

-         National, non-national and urban road resurfacing and paving contracts

-         Sports facilities

-         Car parks and driveways

-         Airports

-         Town renewal schemes and public amenity parks

The role

-         Reading, interpreting, and providing clear communication of construction drawings on site for layouts, material measurements etc.

-         Setting out, and providing precise lines, levels, and reference points on site

-         Ensuring programme deadlines are met

-         Working closely with your team to ensure that the Quality, Environmental and Health & Safety aspects of the work are adhered to

-         Consistently developing your knowledge of the industry, whilst communicating and implementing best practice guidance to line managers and relevant staff

-         Maintain the Integrated Management System (IMS) requirements, policies, and procedures

-         Undertake any other necessary duties

About You

-         Must be able to use your own initiative, be accountable, and take responsibility for a project from start to finish

-         Must be deadline-driven, instilling motivation in the team to hit key targets

Experience required

-         A degree in Civil Engineering or another relevant qualification with at least 1 years relevant experience

-         A sound working knowledge of surveying instruments and equipment

-         Excellent communication skills and a willingness to learn and develop

-         Numeracy and proficient IT skills including MS Office, Word, and Excel

-         A full driving license with access to transport
