NECTO Selection are looking for a talented Civils Site Manager to join our clients’ team in South Dublin. Our client is a well-established, dynamic business operating within the construction industry in the Leinster and Midlands areas. Our client has been operating since 1998 and has grown to become one of the best construction firms in Ireland due to the levels of expertise they have developed within building contracting services, civil engineering, architectural glazing, and demolition.

This is a very exciting opportunity for an experienced engineering professional to progress their career in a site-based role. The successful candidate will be provided with invaluable opportunities to work within a great team of professionals on some of Irelands largest and most exciting construction and civil engineering projects.

Roles and responsibilities

-         Reading, interpreting, and providing clear communication of construction drawings on site for layouts, material measurements etc.

-         To ensure that the setting out is accurate, providing precise lines, levels, and reference points on site

-         Working closely with all other team members to ensure that the Quality, Environmental and Health & Safety aspects of the work are adhered to during your project phase on site

-         Continually developing your knowledge in the industry, communicating, and implementing best practice guidance to line managers and relevant staff

-         Effectively influencing the progress on sites and ensuring programme deadlines are met.

-         Developing effective relationships and dealing with clients and subcontractors

-         Maintain the Integrated Management System (IMS) requirements, policies, and procedures.

-         To undertake any other duties as necessary

Requirements

-         Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or another related discipline

-         A minimum of 5 years’ experience in Civil Engineering

-         Must be competent in the use of computers for completely reports and general site paperwork

-         Experience on live roadways, traffic management, installation of various utilities while working around existing utilities, and general groundworks is preferable

-         Experience working with a main contractor is preferable

-         Excellent communication skills

-         Working knowledge in Microsoft Word, Office, Project, PowerPoint etc.
