NECTO Selection are looking for a talented office based Civil Engineer to work in our clients’ head office in Co. Kildare. Our client is an award-winning, multifaceted Construction, Civil Engineering, and Development company who pride themselves on impeccable standards which in return yields high return of repeat business from many of its clients

This is a very exciting opportunity for an engineering professional to begin their career in an office-based role where they will be given training on all areas of Civil Tendering and be mentored by a team with vast experience in tendering some of the biggest Civil projects in Ireland. This position will allow the successful candidate to choose their own career development path in their preferred role

Your mission

-         Apply your technical knowledge & experience to a variety of tendering tasks

-         Checking tender quantities from 2D and 3D files

-         Gain experience and support through estimation practices, you will be thought how to estimate from first principles

-         Develop technical writing skills whilst supporting tender submissions

-         Gain professional 3D modelling and BIM knowledge

-         Communicate regularly with a variety of different stakeholders

-         Consistently developing your knowledge of the industry, whilst communicating and implementing best practice guidance to line managers and relevant staff

-         Maintain the Integrated Management System (IMS) requirements, policies, and procedures

-         Undertake any other necessary duties

Who are we looking for?

-         Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering

-         A minimum of 2 years’ experience as an Engineer, preferably on-site

-         Excellent communication skills

-         Working knowledge in Microsoft Office, Project, PowerPoint etc.

-         Experience working with a main contractor, subcontractor, surveying firm or similar preferred
